So far this week has been my favorite week I am gladly too say. I saw some really cool art that i extremely admire and think is beautiful.  The only bad part about it this week is that the artist whose work i really admired wasn’t present. Her name is Ja’Rie Gray excuse me if i spelled that wrong in anyway. Her art is focused on how she portrays herself. Ja’Rie as a child was upset by her skin color, she was a dark skinned african american. The majority of her family was of lighter skin tone. She adored her family for their color, but in the end learned to realize that she is beautiful just the way she is. Ja’Rie images portray how she saw herself as ugly, and how society puts a cloud over certain skin type. Her work is about “Empowering and glorifying every person of African descent around the world”.
